Current theory of structure formation assumes that the universe is
dominated by cold dark matter. An important question is therefore how
luminous objects, such as galaxies and clusters of galaxies are connected
to the cold dark matter density field. In this presentation, I will
describe a framework in which one can study the galaxy/dark matter
connection in a systematical way. I will also present some of the
results obtained so far and discuss their implications for galaxy
formation and cosmology. |
