Materials Physics Cleanroom, Queen's University

Lab Picture

The Materials Physics cleanroom is an exciting research lab housing a x-ray diffractometer (XRD), a variable angle spectroscopic ellipsometer, a LEO 1530 field emission scanning electron microscope (SEM), an atomic force microscope (AFM) and a custom-design glancing angle deposition system.

Materials Physics Analytical Services

We are pleased to help other researchers benefit from this equipment as much as possible. We are located in the Department of Physics (Stirling Hall) at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. We charge for the use of the equipment, and our engineer's time, to cover our maintenance and equipment repair. Please email elliott@physics.queensu.ca to book. Typical booking should be done at least 1 to 2 weeks in advance as we need to schedule it around our own research plans.

For frequent users (more than 20 times a year), training on the equipment can be arranged. Email us to discuss rates and booking.

Industrial rates are double those shown below.
